The Z446 universal centrifuge is the highest capacity centrifuge offered by Hermle-Benchmark. It has superior construction of air-craft grade alloy and 4 x 750ml swing-out rotor that can be safely operated at centrifugal forces above 4000 x g with full loads of 48 x 50ml or 68 x 15ml tubes. Rotor changes take less than one minute using the included rotor wrench tool.

The microprocessor controls identify the installed rotor and convert the rotational speed to the proper rcf (g-force). This safety feature prevents the user from setting the rotational speed above the limits of the installed rotor. The control unit can also adjust acceleration and deceleration speed and change the end of run alarm tone. Finally, programs can be saved for quick recall.
