The CoolCube™ is an excellent alternative to ice buckets when working with laboratory samples that must be kept cold to prevent degradation. The CoolCube holds 36 x 1.5/2.0ml tubes on one side and can be turned over to hold one 96 well PCR plate (or 96 x 0.2ml tubes) and ten 1.5/2.0ml tubes on the other side. Simply place the CoolCube in a freezer overnight, and it will maintain 0° C for up to four hours on the bench, keeping samples cold but not frozen.
